House was called to order President Gibson in the chair, after roll call the minutes were read & with a single correction approved. The following gentlemen were then elected members—Messrs W. Minor, Jack, Dabney & Hallam. The following gentlemen were question was chosen for to-night three weeks “Is the Government of Great Britain better adapted to promote the welfare of society than that of the US? There were appointed as debaters
Mr. Bruce's amendment after being largely & spiritedly discussed was lost from failure to obtain the requisite two thirds majority. After Vice-President's report the Society adjourned. Secy.
