Text
My dear Mr. Secretary
Hon. William Jennings Bryan,
Secretary of State.
Professor Droppers is not only willing, but anxious, to go to Greece but feels that he would be acting in a way that would greatly embarrass Williams College if he gave up his classes there at this time, or, indeed, at any time before the end of the academic year. He wants to know if the appointment could be postponed until June next. What is your own feeling in the matter? He is a fine man and I should not like to lose him.
Woodrow WilsonHon. William Jennings Bryan,
Secretary of State.
