Text
My dear Colonel Flynn
Woodrow Wilson
Col. David M. Flynn,
Princeton, New Jersey.
It is with deep and genuine regret that I find myself unable to be present at, and participate in, the celebration of the One-hundredth Anniversary of the Incorporation of the Borough of Princeton. My affection for Princeton draws me very hard. If I send only this message of warm greeting and congratulation, you may be sure that it is because I am prevented by public duty from showing in any other way my deep interest. The stout little borough is to be congratulated upon its history of slow and peaceful development and of growing distinction. Will you not convey to my friends and neighbors these greetings that come direct from my heart?
Woodrow Wilson
Col. David M. Flynn,
Princeton, New Jersey.
