The President,
White House,
Washington, DC
My dear Mr. President:
I am delighted to see by the papers that you are to take Mr. Creel with you to France. Not only will his work there be of great value, but it is the one recognition which he so much deserves, and which you alone can give.
For a year, now, I have watched his efforts. For several months, I saw him every day. Of all the many unselfish, loyal men in Washington, he stands in the very front rank. The only criticism that can be made of him is that he is honest.
Very truly yours,
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR,
INFORMATION AND EDUCATION SERVICE.
Roger W. Babson
Chief of Service.
