Text
My dear Senator:
I am afraid I cannot venture to act upon the advice of your letter of November 14th, because it has been my unfortunate experience that the man you mention seeks to take charge of anything he has a part in, and to take charge in a way thoroughly disloyal to his associates. But please believe that I am none the less obliged to you for your thoughtfulness in making the suggestion. I need all the guidance I can get.
Cordially and sincerely yours,
[Woodrow Wilson]
Hon. Joseph E. Ransdell,
United States Senate
