Text
Dear Tumulty,
At an opportune moment tell the President his note of yesterday was bully. “The fiend Henry Cabin Lodge” wouldnt and couldnt have thought of it in a thousand years.
The President has not backed a foot, and at the same time he prevents the German Chancellor from telling his people “I have done all I can. It is fight or die.”
Yrs
Thos. R. Marshall
