Evelina Suhler is the granddaughter of Jon Anthony Bouman and inherited the family collection of his letters from the years of World War I. She and her husband gave the letters to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum in 2013.

Dear Daddy,

I think that man on the postcard was very funny. Puss still loves your chair. We have such a nice book out of the library. It is called the "Unlucky Family." Something like our family. Kitty is asleep on your chair. We are all well.
