Text
Mr. James E. Jones,
Chief Clerk,
Bureau of Plant Industry.
Dear Mr. Jones:
I have your letter of July 15, stating that the records of your bureau do not give the information desired by this office in regard to colored employees, and that in order to secure same you will have to take a census of your employees or get it from the records of the Appointment Office. I would appreciate it very much if you would detail someone to get this data from the Appointment Office, as the force of that office is very busy at this time of the year and it would take a day or two to do this work.
Very Truly Yours,
Chief Clerk.
