Text
Dear Mr. Chairman
May I ask you to make a little “sacrifice” of your time and read the enclosed letter. It shows what your good efforts in behalf of the Inauguration brought forth.
You will note that the Republican mail service was evidently late, as the Invitation only arrived in California on the 4th of March, therefore Mr. Jackson couldn’t get here in time. But when he comes, I shall respectfully turn him over to the Chairman of Entertainment of Distinguished Guests! Perhaps it might be well for you to introduce him to Bob Woolley and get him to present him with one of the left-over medals! If it would not be too much of a “sacrifice” of your time, show him the great Commerce Building, presided over by an old friend of yours. I would also suggest that it might be a saving of your time if you could get “Dickie” to make a “sacrifice” and show him around for you!
Your friend, the Ex-chairman,
Cary T. Grayson
