Text

My dear Cary

The enclosed copy of orders explains itself. I was immediately sent to the hospital here.Cary, I was played a very mean trick by the the Naval Examining Board at the Washington Navy Yard, consisting of Paymasters Bonnaffan and Lamar. I understand they still have my second set of examination papers: they have not been finally acted on, any way. These papers were good enough to pass me, with my excellent professional record.

In my opinion, some one has had it in for me.

Can you do something for me now, please. The case has not been closed. Can you see McGowan, or Daniels, or get Mr. Wilson’s word on the case If you can only do something for me you will help me get well and right an injustice. I am in very bad nervous shape. Maybe another Board can be appointed to go over the papers.

Yours always,

GM Adee
