Dear Carey
Now that you are back in France I reckon on seeing you down here at an early date. I would suggest that you motor down as that is highly convenient and consumes only about 5½ hours. We are having the King and Queen of Belgium as well as General Pershing here on the 20th and a big gymkhana on the 22nd. We hunt every Sunday and will be ing vigorously in about one week. Unfortunately I have it go down into the SOS Area on the night of the 22nd and will be absent 5–6 days. I am going to ask that you comedown on the 27–28th and stay as long as you can.
That will give you a chance to see one of my Corps Problems which are conducted on a little laarger and more thorough way than has ever taken place in our service. By that time the weather should be fine also and I believe you will enjoy an outing in this picturesque part of France. I am now establishing a large educational center in a former aerdrome where vocational training will be provided for 2000. That will be additional to the 10,870 who are now attending school in the Divisions of this Corps.
Very cordially yours
Henry T Allen
