Dearest Trudie

I hope by this you are safely back at Narragansett Pier and that you found the boys all right and happy for your return.Dr Stine and I went out to see Dr Rixey; he is improving. We had a hurried lunch there and back to my office by two o’clock—This afternoon I walked nearly to the Cathedral and back in endeavoring to improve my sleeping qualities which I am glad to report are improving. My complaint is awaking so early—five and sometimes three and four o’clock.

The visit to Avon helped me. Seeing and being with you is the best tonic of all. I walked to the club from Mr. Ross’ for the walk and to write to you and Mrs. Wadsworth—I am now counting the days when you and the boys will return home. Hope to have the house in good shape for you.

Much love to you all and dearest for Trudie,

Your

Cary
