My dearest

I am more homesick for you and the boys to-day than I have ever been. I miss you all more than you can imagine. This afternoon I am going to Chevy Chase to play golf with Justice McReynolds. The weather is fine—but signs of turning warm—soon.

I had a phone message from the Express Company to-day that your table had arrived and would be delivered to me—No news from the mantle pieces as yet. Rider has telephoned both Express and Freight offices. If they were shipped by freight they may be delayed sometime.

Things are better at S. street to-day.Mr. Burch writes that Formosa and Scoop and Bena, his filly—are sick with bad colds which is discouraging news but hopes they will recover in time to race in August. Lunched to-day at Metropolitan Club—Billy Lassiter, Charley Wilson & Fred. Faust. The latter & family will spend August at Watch Hill, RI—
