My dear Mr. Morgenthau:
Your letter of was duly received, and I have laid it before the President. I noted the contents of your letter with a great deal of interest.
Times have been pretty strenuous down here, but I am happy to be able to report continued progress in the President’s health.
Should you visit Washington at any time, please do not fail to let me know.
