Text
Dear Sweetheart
The enclosed notes were written last night on a cold train. It was a poor letter for Christmas Day, but it was the best I could do in the circumstances—with no stationary or pen and ink.
Your Christmas Cable has justed reached me. I am so delighted to have direct news from you and Gordon—
Yours always—
