Text
Dear Sweetheart
I have had a busy day—up early this morning & came here; then off to the Board meeting which is a big tedious job. Conference with the Secretary of the Navy at five thirty; Came over to the White House. They asked to stay for dinner—Then, we played Parcheesi—Miss E. Miss Helen and me—Fixed the President’s nose at ten thirty and now I am about to start for Westover.
BMB returned to-day.
My Bible lecture seemed to go all right as I had several requests to-day, from some that heard it, for a copy of it.
This is a poor letter but I feel that you will forgive me in the circumstance, and remember that I love you very, very, dearly. Good night My darling. Your ever and very devoted,
