Inter-Club Amateur Cycle Road Racing League
Rear Admiral Cary T. Grayson,
Executive Mansion,
Washington, DC
Sir
On behalf of the two thousand members of the Inter-Club Amateaur Cycle Road Racing League, I am having a bicycle sent to President Wilson for his use, should he desire it, during the period of final convalescence from his recent illness.
We have in mind the bicycle tour of Europe which President Wilson made some years ago. It is our hope that the pleasure and benefit he enjoyed at that time may be repeated in some measure now.
This gift is prompted by the individual experience of our members who regard bicycle riding as one of the most healthful forms of exercise and recreation. Our sole desire is to hasten the President s complete recuperation through what we believe would be a most helpful means to normal health.
If our suggestion recommends itself to you professionally, we would be glad of what encouragement you may wish to give the President s use of it.
You may be assured that this presentation will not be used in any way for advertising purposes by any bicycle manufacturer.
Very respectfully yours,
AR Jacobson
