Text
My dear Dr. Grayson
I tried to catch you at the Montana, and then at the Club about lunch time, but failed—so am sending just a line to say that on account of the weather the Supper in the Park has been changed to a dinner in town and afterwards a foursome for “Bridge”—so I am afraid I will not see you—This is, of course, not what I wanted to tell you over the phone, but is the excuse for this note—
The next thing is that I know of your answer to last nights note, and that I ’specially want you to come to dinner with me on Thursday at seven—I told her you were coming and she accepted—Miss F. will come too—and you must not unbalance my table by declining—
Faithfully
