My dear Mr. Cary:
I have read your letter of September 29th with a great deal of interest, and I wish to assure you that we genuinely appreciate your kind offer. The Presidents plans for the immediate future are very indefinite, but I shall be glad to keep in mind all that you say. I know the President will be deeply touched by your solicitude.
