<p>I just received your postal card and was very glad that you <sic corr="haven't">haven't</sic> forgotten me. I just got back from the west and I have a fine place of my own. I am going up <sic corr="there">their</sic> again about the <date value="1921-01-15">15 of January</date>. I am living in <place>Chicago</place> till then. Say <person>Ed Barron</person> is working here in <place>Chicago</place> I bought some thing for Xmas from him. I darn near fell over when I seen him I think <place reg="Paris, France">Paris</place> made a man out of him alright he looks fine. How is everything with you and <person>Ed</person> alright. I am sick in bed right now But will be out in a few days. I got a letter from <person>Balsaino</person> You know him he use to cook for me.<br /><br />How is your <personref reg="Minnie Shoor">Mother</personref> and <personref reg="Michael Shoor">father</personref> are they well give them my regards. <person reg="Edward D. Shoor">Ed</person> I had the best Christmas I ever had in my life. And say <person reg="Edward D. Shoor">Ed.</person> you had better get in cattle business with me. I have plenty of feed. Make some money for you and <person reg="Edward D. Shoor">Ed.</person> dont be surprise if you read in a paper where <person>A. J Jenning</person> The Oil King is going to make a call on you. That why I am here in <place>Chicago</place> for. My land shows oil and <sic corr="believe">belive</sic> me I had a few chances to sell it. But nothing doing. And <person reg="Edward D. Shoor">Ed</person> you can buy real <sic corr="whiskey">wiskey</sic> for <currency type="U.S.A">2.50</currency> a quart. Canadian Club. My place is right on the line.
