Biography or History

Nathan C. Hoyt married Annie Lee Hamilton on 29 September 1906. Cousins to Ellen Axson Wilson, they corresponded with Woodrow Wilson and appear to have been present at Ellen Axson Wilson’s funeral in 1914.

Scope and Content

The Nathan C. and Annie Lee Hoyt Collection documents significant events in the lives of Woodrow Wilson and his immediate family from the viewpoint of extended family. The papers date from approximately 1898 through 1976. The collection consists of brief correspondence, newspaper clippings, and family records. The papers have been divided into folders. There is one small scrapbook containing photographs of Ellen Axson Wilson’s funeral in Rome, Georgia contained within one folder. The folders are labeled according to contents and arranged by subject.
