Text

Dear Governor

Here is a letter from Sir Horace in which he says some nice things about you.
And this reminds me that you charmed Northcliffe in your few minutes talk with him the other day. I have heard from many directions of his enthusiastic praise of you. You seem to have been a revelation to him.
I am glad you treated him so kindly for he has shown a desire to work in harmony with everyone.Magnolia, Massachusetts.June 19, 1917.

Affectionately yours,
E. M. House
