Text
My dear Mr. President
I am in receipt of your letter of May 8th and, although I regret your decision, please do not think of it again. Rest assured of one thing, I shall never be distressed or embarrassed for one single minute by anything done by you. I know your clear head, your conscience and kind heart too well to feel anything but happiness in submitting to any decision that you may make. It is always such a pleasure to do anything for you. You always show a greater sense of gratitude and appreciation than anyone I have yet met.

I was so glad to do the ship business for you. That was easy. Give me something real hard.
Cordially and faithfully yours,Bernard M. Baruch
