I wish that it were possible to visit Columbus and I am sincerely complimented that the Constitutional Convention should desire to have me come, but I am firmly of the opinion that it is not right or wise for me to “invade” Ohio.
I, nonetheless, appreciate your kindness in writing.In haste,Cordially yours.
