Our correspondence came to an abrupt close, didn't it? Did you ever get lmy last letter? I miscalculated and forgot and sent it to Rydal. Doubtless it would be forwarded back to America, but it would be stale by that time and no news at all.
I haven't time for a real letter to-day but I want to write at least a notelet to wish you good luck in your year and to say howdy. Is College going beautifully? I hope so and that you are not feeling yourself overwhelmed by back work—I'm overwhelmed,—by society. You never saw such a round of gayety as I am plunged in—gayety of every description. Clar' to gracious, honey, I'se done wo' out.Meemee refuses to let me even think of leaving yet awhile so I shall probably stay until after Thanksgiving. On my way North, I am planning to stop by Raleigh and see Nell. Meemee too is probably going with me for she is going to send Marjorie to St. Mary's next year and wants to see the school. Isn't it fine for the two cousins to be in school to-gether? “Little Missy” as the darkies call her, is younger than Nell, but a darling, and excellent company.
I must run now, but you know that this carries a whole lot of love among its few words.
