My Precious One -

Lizzie brought me your blessed letter at 730 this morning and I am so glad you were feeling so well - and the day had gone so smoothly - although full of work -Thank you for giving me such a full account of all you did - and also for phoning 2727 - I do hope you could go to lunch with Mother today and know how they will enjoy having you - Hurrah for the "seven" and for the dinner I am so glad you are really having it

We have just finished lunch & we have half an hour before we have to go so I am writing to tell you I am still trying to get off tomorrow afternoon - I think the train goes about 5 and arrives about 10 30 If I find I can't make it I will telegraph you - but if you don't hear you may expect me.

This morning Helen & I were out at 9 30 and everything is ordered and ready for fittings tomorrow - I will tell you about it when I come - The House's car is a beauty & they insist I shall keep it the rest of my stay Thank you Precious for the great box of flowers that came by Express this a.m. There were so many I sent some over to Mrs. House - and then Helen & I went to see them - and I had a talk with him & he is more than enthusiastic about your message - As I knew he would be.

We went in the Study - and it made me so homesick for you.

This afternoon we are going to call on the Malones - and Helen is taking us all to the Theatre tonight - so you see I had to write this note now or not send any -Do wish I had time for a real letter but I must drop Mother a note & tell Susie when to expect me

My warmest and tenderest love follows you everywhere & I will be with you every minute in my thoughts

Take very tender care of my precious Sweetheart for I will soon be there to do it for myself -

Always your own,

Edith
