My dear Senator Glass::
Since the receipt of your kind letter of Cctober 20 I have your telegram advising that BBob Allen stood the operation successfully and that you are hopeful of the outcome. I am so deolighted. It takes a great deal of courage indeed to face that most serious remedy, but when it succeeds I am told the success is marvelous, so I am hoping with you and with his wife that he will enjoy a speedy and complete recovery. With kindest regards,

Signed by: Benjamin Strong Jr.
