I just learn than you were good enough to telegraph to the Collector at New York in regard to my proposed trip to Europe, and I am not only most grateful to you for that but also for the suggestion as to Mr. Vaughan who has agreed to go to Europe with me and who, I am sure, will prove a most competent secretary.
