My dear Mr. Strong:
Please accept my hearty thanks for your letter of the 11th instant, and for the apples which you tell me you are sending from your farm in Connecticut. I know we shall all enjoy them very much.
I am leaving to-day for an extended trip through the West, and must, therefore, be brief. I hope to see you sometime after my return next month.
