My dear Miss Gordon,
What you were kind enough to let Dr. Grayson tell us yesterday has made me very happy. I have known few men whom I admired more and trusted and loved as I do Grayson and his happiness means a great deal to me. This happiness fills my dearest wish for him, - for I have learned to know you and I know that his life will be bright with the love of a woman whom any man would be proud to win and who can enrich him with all the things that make life worth living. May I say how eager we are to welcome you, for your own sake as well as his, into the circle of friends whom we trust and believe in?
With best wishes that come from the bottom of my heart.
Your sincere friend,
Woodrow Wilson
