Dear Mr. President
I have now consulted the members of the committee on the packing industry and they are in entire accord with your suggestion as to the elimination of the War Industries’ Price Fixing Board from the machinery proposed and I am sending you the report as amended.
I am extremely anxious that it should be issued to the public at the earliest moment as some indications as to its content have leaked out and it is a matter of great interest to a considerable portion of the public. If it now meets with your approval, in its present form, would you be so kind as to instruct that it should be issued to the Press?
Yours faithfully,
[Herbert Hoover]
