Text

Dear Mr. Tumulty

I am returning herewith copy of telegram addressed to the President, by Geo. Barnhart, of Madison, Wisconsin, which was sent to this office a day or two ago, together with a copy of a reply which was dispatched this morning by Mr. Hoover. The correspondence is self-explanatory.

The matter is not of particular importance and I am writing more to complete your file on the case than for any particular interest in the matter.

Yours faithfully,
[Lewis Strauss]
SECRETARY TO MR. HOOVER.
