The daily press makes the statement that the appointment of Mr. McD. Lee as Federal Food Administrator for Virginia has been decided upon without consultation with me. I regard this matter so seriously that I am sending you herewith a copy of my letter to Hon. Herbert Hoover, Federal Food Administrator, protesting against this statement.
