THE WHITE HOUSE
washington
My dear Mr. Hoover
The men who brought me the enclosed memorial struck me as sincere and straightforward, and they made the very definite statement that they were losing so much per head on the cattle they were raising and they ascribed as the reason the entire control of the price by the packers. I would be very much obliged if you would look over these papers and make any comments upon them that occur to you and any suggestions of practicable courses of action, because manifestly our supply of meat depends upon the solution of just such questions as this.
Cordially and faithfully yours,
WOODROW WILSON
