My dear Mr. Hoover
Thank you for letting me see Senator Reed’s letter. Of course, it is perfectly outrageous, but I think that Senator Reed and those who are like him have already tarred themselves so distinctly with the same brush that their influence will be negligible if they will only be kind enough to attach their names always to what they write.
