Dear Mr. Hoover

The President directs me to say that he has judged the enclosed names as well as he can and the only suggestion he has to make is that he would not like to see the firm of Stone & Webster of Boston represented in the Food Administration because of their very unsatisfactory attitude in a good many matters concerning labor and their very extended monopoly of power enterprises in the West. He does not say this in criticism of Mr. Hallowell, but merely that he may confidentially indicate to you this general objection.

Sincerely yours,

Rudlolph Forster
Executive Clerk
