My dear Mr. and Mrs. Hoover
The American Ambassador at London has brought to my attention the excellent work which you have been doing for the relief of the many Americans in that city, and it affords me much gratification to say that the loyal support and hearty cooperation which have been so generously extended have impressed me deeply and have lightened the burdens of these troublous times.
I extend to you, my dear Mr. and Mrs. Hoover, sincere thanks in my own name and in the names of the many Americans who profited by your untiring labors in England.
Cordially yours,
Woodrow Wilson
