My dear Mr. Hoover

In reply to your telegram of March 6th, I am very sorry to say that it has not been possible to arrange for you to see the President. He has a cold and, upon the advice of his physician, he is keeping to his room and denying himself to callers.

I wonder if you cannot conveniently write to the President on the matter you wished to take up
