Text

My dear Heath:

Of course, the statement about lawyers “having corporation connections” was exaggerated. It meant merely that we would not consider the kind of men commonly known as corporation lawyers. It is true, as you say, that practically every lawyer who has had any extensive practice at all has had some connection with cases in which he represented some corporation. We shall try to be sensible and unprejudiced about the matter.

All your letters are more than welcome.

In haste,

Affectionately yours,
Woodrow Wilson
