Text

My dear Heath:-

I was stupid enough not to notice the address you gave me and, feeling that my letters would wander around Europe seeking for you, I have not acknowledged sooner the letters from you which have given me so much delight. I have a sort of feeling that after your troubles and after the political disappointment in Virginia, this result at Baltimore is a sort of message of cheer to you yourself. Certainly, I know that nobody has been more generously interested in it than you have been. My letters have piled in on me so that I cannot write more than a few lines, but these are lines of sincerest affection. Please take care of yourself and be sure to come back well and in restored spirits.

Affectionately yours,
Woodrow Wilson
