My dear Heath,

I am interested to hear of your friend Wight, but I am sorry to say that after having declined to sit for artists of every degree I do not feel I would be justified in consenting to sit for him. Moreover, I have found it the most fatiguing of all preoccupations, and have not the strength to devote to it.

It is mighty good to hear from you even on an impersonal subject.I am getting slowly well, and there is so much remaining to be done that I cannot afford any other course.

In haste,

Affectionately Yours,
Woodrow Wilson
