Hall of Jefferson Society.

The House was called to order at 7 o’clock by the president, Mr. Adger—The roll was called, absentees noted & the Minutes of the previous meeting read & approved. There being no debate the Report of the Question Committee was submitted & the following question selected for two weeks hence: “Would a restriction of the suffrage ameliorate our political condition?” To be debated on the Aff. by Messrs. Williams, Wilson, Hampton, G., Whitner—Neg. Messrs. Woods, Youmans, Browning.The classes for debate were then read, the Vice presidents report submitted & excuses rendered—The order of business finished, the second roll was called & the Society adjourned—
