Text

My dear Mr. Secretary

I think the advice given by Hale in the enclosed memorandum is very good advice. I do not know how correctly he represents your own feeling about it, but I should like very much indeed to have a short talk with you on the subject. Would it be convenient for you to see me at the office tomorrow at twelve?

Cordially and faithfully yours,
Woodrow Wilson

Hon. William Jennings Bryan,
Secretary of State.
