My dear Mr. Pettangall:
>
Mr. William R. Pettangall,>
Waterville, Maine.
I am taking the liberty of writing you just a line to say how deeply interested I am in your candidacy for Congress. Like all other Democrats, I shall watch the result with the greatest interest as well as with the greatest confidence. My immediate object in writing is to congratulate the party in having a representative in this contest who, they can feel, represents the principles and the policy of the party so truly and with so much ability.
Cordially and sincerely yours,>
Mr. William R. Pettangall,>
Waterville, Maine.
