Text

Dear Mr. Tumulty

Pursuant to request of the President by letter of November 14th, and through yours of November 17th, the papers inclosed in your letter--namely, the letter from the president of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company and the accompanying exhibits--are herewith returned with the comments of Mr. Ethelbert Stewart of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
As to your suggestion that I also make such comments as I may care to, I see no occasion for adding to my letter to you of November 15th on the same general subject, anything further than Mr. Stewart’s letter now inclosed.

Trusting that Mr. Stewart’s letter may prove to be sufficiently complete for all the purposes of a response, and assuring you and through you the President of any further information that may be desired that I may be able to procure, I am,
Faithfully yours,
Louis F. Post
Acting Secretary.

Ho. JP Tumulty,
Secretary to the President.
