Governor Lind asks me to send the folowing. He was visited today by ten American missionaries, seven of whom expressed themselves against recognition of Huerta. Later four native Protestant ministers called protesting against recognition. Three believed that granting belligerent rights to rebels would solve all difficulties. All four disliked the idea of intervention.
