My dear Mr. President:
I have been told that one Louis E. F.¹ Post, of Chicago, Illinois, is an applicant for a position in the Department of Labor, as Assistant Secretary. I am also informed that this gentleman is not a Democrat, but is a single taxer.
I beg to suggest the advisability of having his political record examined.
Very respectfully,
Jas A Reed
