My dear Mr. President:
With your permission, I will defer for about a week answering your most kind letter of the 24th tendering me the Chairmanship of the Commission on Industrial Relations; as the Interstate Commerce Commission hearings on our New England transportation monopoly are absorbing my whole attention for the present.
Meanwhile I shall be glad to have Mr. Tumulty send me a copy of the Act creating the Commission.
Louis D. Brandeis
Honorable Woodrow Wilson,
The White House,
