Text
My dear Mr. Brandeis
Woodrow Wilson
Mr. Louis D. Brandeis,
Boston, Massachusetts.
Would you be generous enough to act as Chairman of the Commission on Industrial Relations which it is my duty and privilege to appoint? I am sure you know the object and scope of the inquiry set for the Commission. There is no one in the United States who could preside over and direct such an inquiry so well as you could, and I wonder if it is possible for you to strengthen the whole thing by assuming direction of it. It would gratify me very deeply if you could.
Cordially and sincerely yours,Woodrow Wilson
Mr. Louis D. Brandeis,
Boston, Massachusetts.
