Text

My Dear Mr. President

To The President.
The appointment to high judicial office from a President to whom devoted friendship and admiration attaches me is one of life’s richest prizes. Knowing that you consider only the public welfare, I value the esteem and confidence implied even more than the office itself.
Quite aside from lrly day.
You need no assurance that your expressions of personal regard gave Mrs. Woods and me great satisfaction. Her health is improved, and she takes the deepest interest in your success.

I beg that you will express to Mrs, Wilson my congratulations and good wishes.
Sincerely yours,
CA Woods
